The Stitchery is a sewing school and design business that specialises in delivering a range of
sewing workshops and courses in a well equipped sewing studio based at a home studio in Roath Cardiff.
It is our aim at the ‘the stitchery’ to create opportunities for people to regain the love and skills of sewing. We want to help and encourage creativity and innovation, repair and recycling.
The courses are informal but packed with lots of learning and sewing tips along the way and are designed to be fun and sociable, giving participants the confidence and inspiration to take on a range of independent sewing projects.
So, if you are looking to make your own clothes, create handmade gifts, or learn about home furnishings the stitchery is a good place to begin. If you can't find a course suitable you can always book private tuition
Helen Gubb, director of 'the Stitchery' is a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience of facilitating, developing and coordinating a range of innovative craft, sewing and textile courses.
At the stitchery we pride ourselves on providing a high quality, friendly service that keeps the customers best interests in mind, with a special interest in restyling and repairing vintage clothes.
